Speak is everything they’re not saying.
Welcome to the abyss.
For years, I’ve wanted a place of my own. Not hosted by a meta platform, not cut down into bite-sized pieces of social media or distorted to serve an algorithm. My own space, my own words, my own depth.
Speak is exactly that.
If you’ve listened to an episode of the podcast, you might know what to expect.
If you haven’t, come with me and let me explain.
the rabbit hole/ the matrix / the other side
If you’ve started to notice the crack in the world, the fissures where things don’t seem quite right, the disconnect between your intuition and what you’re told through mainstream media and psychology and those in power, you’ve come to the right place.
Nothing makes sense and it isn’t because you’re crazy, it’s because… nothing makes sense. We currently exist in a system that constantly tells us to thrive and produce and do, but not only does this not lead to happiness for the vast majority of us, it was never designed to. This is a world built for the rich. Not those doing well, not those simply enjoying life, but the people rich enough to actually change your life: in a bad way. Rich enough to influence politics, impact laws, and buy their way into government. To step on and walk over your psyche and your emotions, all with that eerie tech bro smile telling you this is the way. Rich enough to cause discord among the rest of us so we are constantly fighting and policing one another, constantly “working on ourselves,” constantly burning out, constantly numbing our emotions with a scroll through their phones.
You don’t feel too much. You aren’t too sensitive. You probably don’t need the latest pill. And that scientific study they’re using to soothe your concerns and tell you everything is okay, have you read it? Because if there’s one thing we know about science, it’s this: you can use it to say anything, especially if you’ve got a few billion dollars.
Speak is much more than that, too, just pointing out the obvious dissonance.
It’s offering solutions.
Not all the answers, because no one has those.
But practical ways to move forward in a world designed to keep you stagnant.
Exploring philosophy, psychology, spirituality, literature, and more, we’re looking to art, science, history, and the humanities for help. Mostly, we’re looking into ourselves. If you’re here, you’ve felt the weirdness. You know something isn’t right.
Speak is the place we point it out and move forward.
What does a better world look like?
Together, let’s find out.
